Furever Friends Pet Loss Workshop

About this event

Join us for a special gathering where kids can honor the memory of a beloved pet through art, connection, and community. Together, we'll paint rocks as a lasting tribute — something to keep, display, or place somewhere special in memory of a fur friend.

Kids are welcome to bring a photo of their pet, along with any small items that remind them of their pet (a collar, a favorite toy, or anything meaningful) to share with the group if they'd like. We will take time to share about our feelings but it is not required.

A light (nut free) snack will be served during the gathering but please bring a water bottle. Parents are welcome to stay and socialize outside during the workshop, or to sit in and participate alongside their child — whatever feels most comfortable for your family.

Phileo is a third grader at ICS and is a recognized global citizen and founder of the Kids for Peace Decatur chapter. He enjoys meditation, STEM, running club, Minecraft & spending time with friends and family.
