About this event
Shoupade Park is listed on the Cobb County Historic Register due to the 1864 American Civil War fortifications preserved within the 2-acre park consisting of 2 Shoupade Forts, an artillery redan, and a trench line connecting them. During the summer, the historic land features are obscured from view due to vegetation growth. Parks (riverline.org) Volunteers will carefully remove or cut back vegetation, so visitors can view and appreciate the land imprint of these historic fortification time capsules.
